We have officially reached the halfway point of the 2023-2024 school year! Students successfully completed a week of midterm assessments and we are now adjusting to our new Semester Two routines.
Course Selection for the 2024-2025 school year has begun! School Counselors facilitated scheduling lessons during the last week of January and will be meeting with students individually during the months of February and March. We encourage you to speak with your child about challenging him/herself by taking an honors, AP, or dual enrollment course next year, as appropriate. If you have any questions, please reference the 2024-2025 Program of Studies or reach out to your child’s School Counselor.
Throughout the month of February, we look forward to celebrating Black History Month. A student and teacher-led BHM Committee has planned several events, which include hosting our 4th Annual Black Alumni Panel on February 27th, daily readings by students about historical Black figures, Spirit Week, Movie Night, a school-wide art project, and participation in several community events. While we pride ourselves in celebrating our school’s beautiful diversity year round, we look forward to this special time when we have the opportunity to highlight and celebrate Black culture.
