Happy Friday Stratford Families, Staff and Community Members,
And here we go again! It's the weekend. Wishing you a fun filled, safe and happy weekend! We hope this week has been a good one!
It's been a busy week here in the district! In addition to Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th was a robust day of professional development for our staff while students enjoyed a day off. The professional development featured many sessions on various areas such as Reading, Science, Technology, Teen Mental Health and Portrait of a Graduate to name a few. A shout out to our staff and their commitment to Stratford Public Schools!
Middle School Parent / Teacher Conferences took place on November 6th. Also on Wednesday, November 6th, our Teacher of the Year, Abbey Owen, was recognized at a statewide ceremony. She was accompanied by several staff members including Acting Superintendent, Heather Borges.
On Thursday, November 7th, Bunnell High School hosted their annual Veterans Luncheon giving tribute our community members who have served our country. Stratford High School will host their event on November 12th.
Also next week, Parent / Teacher Conferences continue. Reach out to your school and take advantage of the opportunity to connect with your child's teacher and have a conversation.
