STRATFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS COMMUNICATION PLAN - Week 9
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Week 9: How Teachers Use AI in Classrooms
AI helps teachers save time on repetitive tasks like grading and lesson planning, allowing more focus on student interaction. It also supports differentiated instruction by providing resources for varying ability levels. Here are some creative ways teachers might use AI to support students:
Organizing Information: Teachers can ask AI to turn lists into tables, add headings to documents, or summarize notes from meetings—making their work more efficient and organized.
Personalized Learning Support: Teachers can use AI tools to tailor lessons to each student’s needs, helping them work at their own pace and receive extra support where needed.
Language Translation and Support: AI tools like Google Translate or Microsoft Translator can help teachers support multilingual students by translating instructions, classroom materials, or even offering real-time translations during class discussions.
Gamification and Engagement: Teachers can use AI-powered educational games that adapt to students’ skill levels, increasing engagement and motivation. Games can make learning fun and allow students to progress based on their individual pace.
