STRATFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS COMMUNICATION PLAN - Week 18

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Week 18: AI and Personalized Learning

AI helps personalize education by adjusting content to fit each student’s learning style and pace. By analyzing how a student interacts with educational material, AI can identify strengths and areas for improvement, then adjust lessons accordingly. This means students who need extra support can receive targeted practice, while those ready for a challenge can move ahead at their own speed.
Example: Families can explore personalized learning at home by observing how their child engages with different types of content. Do they prefer reading, watching videos, or hands-on activities? Try using a mix of methods—such as asking your child to explain a concept in their own words, creating a drawing, or teaching it to a family member—to see what helps them learn best. Encouraging curiosity and providing opportunities for self-paced exploration, like researching a topic of interest and summarizing key takeaways, can help children develop independent learning skills that AI tools also support.

Disclaimer:  These ideas and resources were curated with the assistance of ChatGPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI. While ChatGPT provided guidance and support in generating content, the ultimate responsibility for the content provided lies with the Stratford Public Schools.
